Christmas Charity Open Competition

Leixlip Tennis Club are hosting a Christmas charity competition, which will now take place on Sunday 2 January 2011 at 12pm in aid of ‘Rebuild for Bosnia’

The event is open to members and non-members of age 14 and up of all levels and experience.

Players will compete in doubles and mixed doubles matches.

The entry fee for participating is €10 per person. All proceeds will be donated to Haiti.

We look forward to a great turnout and a fun competition for all.

Leixlip Tennis Club are delighted to support the ‘Rebuild for Bosnia’ initiative by the transition year students in Confey College whose fundraising efforts have been ongoing for the past year.

A number of students will be travelling to Bosnia this coming May to assist in re-homing families who were greatly affected by the war which only happened fifteen years ago. The charity concentrates on helping the most vulnerable families and especially those who are physically challenged. These families are currently living in refugee camps and have not had a permanent home since the war.

The students who travel to Bosnia we will be helping families furnish and move into their new home that they helped raise funds for.
