Power Restored to Leixlip Tennis Club

Following an application process with the ESB, Leixlip Tennis Club now has an independent power supply in place, which can be used to the benefit of all members.

Leixlip Tennis Club would also like to recognise the fabulous work by many of our members, who gave up a lot of time and worked diligently to secure the power supply, in particular Sean Kavanagh, Brian Donohoe and Enzo Dowling.

The independent power supply means that there are no longer any restrictions for using the floodlights and they can be used for all courts at all times when required.

Flood lights are activated by committee members during scheduled events such as men’s practice, ladies’ practice and social events.

Members can also use tokens to activate the flood lights. For details click here

The power supply also means that members who need to access the courts will require their access card. New members, who joined since the start of June may not have been provided with access cards as there was no power in place to activate new cards from that time. As such, all new members will be provided with new cards as they can now be activated.

Alice Kiernan, the Membership Secretary will be in contact with all new members with a view to supplying access cards as soon as possible. In the meantime, new members can access the courts by identifying themselves to members on court, who can open the gates.
