Leixlip Morning Ladies Shine

Leixlip Morning Ladies tennis continues to go from strength to strength, with up to twenty ladies meeting on Monday and Wednesday mornings to play social tennis.
During the year there are two 'Morning Ladies Leagues.' The one on Monday mornings is for non DLTC players and is usually held in the Springtime and the other on Friday mornings is held in the Autumn. Both involve playing matches against neighbouring clubs, usually Clane, Nth Kildare, Castleknock and Ratoath.
In 2017 one team was entered in the Monday morning League and two teams were entered in the Friday morning League. All played well with one Leixlip team winning the Friday morning League and our other team coming joint second! Both these leagues finish up with lunch for all participants and the presentation of prizes.
These competitions are great introductions to DLTC leagues, if any of the ladies wish to become involved in those at a later stage.
Apart from this, there are also occasional cups of coffee after tennis, invitational friendly mornings with our neighbouring clubs and a lunch, usually held in early June, as well as a Christmas lunch in early December.
This year we also finished off a super year of tennis with coffee and mince pies in the club house!
We are a very sociable group and welcome any lady members who can play a game/set/match to join us on Monday and Wednesday mornings between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
