The Leixlip Tennis Club AGM took place on Thursday 28 February 2019 at the Springfield Hotel.

A report was provided to the membership by all of the officers, giving a summary of the highlights of the previous year.

Motions

It was noted that the sanction relating to following Motion, which was passed by unanimous decision at the 2018 AGM, remains in place.

• Proposal to suspend article 6 of Clause 15 -The Committee

  Article 6 of Clause 15

  The position of Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer may not be held by the same person for more than three consecutive years.

  Proposal

  In view of the current development of the Clubhouse – and the delicate on-going negotiations with our Lessors and the legal requirements this brings, I propose that the requirement limiting the term of office of the Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer, be suspended, in the interest of continuity, and that it should remain so, until the completion of the project or the next Annual General Meeting, whichever is later.

Resolution

A resolution on an amendment to to membership rates was proposed by the outgoing committee and was passed by unanimous decision.
