The Leixlip Tennis Club AGM took place on Thursday 21 April 2022 online.

A report was provided to the membership by all of the officers, giving a summary of the highlights of the previous year.

Motions

The following Motion, which was presented to the AGM by the outgoing Committee, was passed by unanimous decision.

• Update the text in Article 5 as follows:

  Original Text

  The membership of the Club shall consist of:
  b. Student Member, who shall be not less than 18 years of age, at such date as the Committee may from time to time decide, who are in full time education or apprenticeship or cadetship (ID required).
  c. Junior member (two categories) who shall be not more than 18 years or in full time education at a date which the Committee may, from time to time, decide.
  d. Family Unit Members which shall be at least one Adult member (max two), being either parent or legal guardian of a number of children, normally resident at one address, who meet the requirements of (b) or (c) above.

  The membership of the Club shall consist of:

  d. Family Membership to consist of 1 primary adult member (Family Head) and up to 4 additional members from the same household, which may include 1 additional adult and up to 3 other members, who meet the requirements of (b) or (c) above.

  The quorum for the Annual General Meeting shall be set at a number equal to fifteen (15) members plus 10 % of the combined family, student and single adult members (excluding temporary), eligible to vote, at the date on which the meeting was called.

  The quorum for the Annual General Meeting shall be set at, whichever amount is the lowest of: a number equal to fifteen (15) members plus 10 % of the combined family, student and single adult members (excluding temporary), eligible to vote, at the date on which the meeting was called. or 35 members of the combined family, student and single adult members (excluding temporary), eligible to vote, at the date on which the meeting was called.

Resolution

A resolution to maintain the 2021/2022 rates for the 2022/2023 membership year was passed by the meeting.
